Mercedes Smith is a 23 year old account executive turned philanthropist who is defining what it means to be “Black Girl Fly”. A communications professional with a striking know-how in Public Relations & Branding, Mercedes, founder of Care More, is taking the entertainment industry by storm.

Serving as the keynote speaker at the Girl Pride Project, where she shared her story to over 60 young girls, Smith decided that she wanted to continue to impact people by creating a brand of her own. Constructing Care More, an organization dedicated to uplifting, enriching and positively impacting humanity, has provided her with a platform for change and a vehicle that moves the world into a better state. The organization has since been endorsed by some very important people within the entertainment industry including several of her current clients.Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University in Mass Communications with a concentration in PR, Mercedes continues to pursue an education with the University of Maryland in Business & Public Relations Management. Since the start of her career, Mercedes has risen as a motivational activist, encouraging and supporting others to follow their dreams.

With self-starting determination she has developed numerous campaigns and branding strategies for various entertainment artist, fashion, corporate and non-profit brands including clients such as T.J. Holmes, Rickey Smiley, Dorell Wright, Marcella Araica, Condola Rashad, FXFL, Caesars Casino, and more. She's Black Girl Fly(JDK)

In addition, when asked, “Why are Black Girls Fly”, she responded, “Black girls are the definition of FLY because we are ourselves. No matter what the media or society tries to force us to be, we remain true to who we are! No matter what we go through, we come back a million times stronger. No matter the adversities of life, we stand tall with our heads high ready to fight another day. Now if that isn’t FLY, I don’t know what is!
